Bagat was born from a random act of arson in 2017.

Every burn left in the wake of running through a raging inferno, and every silver lined lesson thereafter, informed the creation process of Emergence: an album that embraces wounds as a compass towards healing, and transforms trauma into cathartic release.

Emergence is a junction between turbulent rhythms and radiant melodies where storms erupt. It is spontaneous creative combustion made from organic and electronic artifacts dug up from the past in order to be given voice in the beyond. 

 

Ignited by a spark of magical realism, it is sonic activism steeped in the grit of social, political, and environmental warfare. Propelled by a desire to mobilize and enact change, this music was made as a lightning rod at an intersection between individual and collective suffering. Can we transmute our pain into unifying war cries?
